Peter was born on April 22nd 1932 and lived at 35 CASTLEVIEW GARDENS, ILFORD

Peter's father ran the greengrocers in Ilford, Essex.
But the boys David, Michael and Peter mostly grew up in Hutton, near Shenfield.

The family were very involved in the Church and their strong Christian faith grew there, and they were instrumental in the formation and sustaining of the Church youth club - which was a formative experience for them all, and lifelong friendships were made in those days.Peter and David were especially involved in the 'Reviews' (annual stage shows).

Peter went to Brentwood School, and then Oxford University at St. Edmund Hall (Teddy Hall).
After that, he began teaching - which led him to his longest-serving post at Carn Brae School (near Bromley).
He was very happy there - and was very involved in the school plays/musicals each year.
He worked with the Head's wife - she wrote the script, he wrote the music.
The productions included sons et lumieres (one of which I went to when I was about 14).

When Carn Brea closed, Peter returned to Billericay (to Gaircroft - which he owned, but his mother lived in).
After some teaching in that town, he took up the post at Christ's Hospital - and the rest you know well!
